The brief
Having worked with the Hastings Deering marketing team on an ongoing basis to help with their marketing collateral design, Kingfisher was asked to re-design a series of 6 illustrations for the executive team’s leadership training program. The original illustrations had a dated style so we were tasked with giving them a more modern, icon/infographic look and feel that was also aligned to the Hastings Deering brand and colour palette.
Our creative process
An important first step in the process was to establish a suitable style for the illustrations. Equally important though was ensuring that style was inline with the Hastings Deering brand style guide which we were very familiar with from previous projects. Having consulted with the client on examples of illustrations they liked, we conducted some further initial research and started work on one the illustrations. That first illustration was quickly approved and we were able to roll-out that established style across the remaining illustrations in double-quick time.
